This is my birthday week, as well as my friend Lisa's and last week was my friend Kelene's. I made Kelene a triple layer chocolate cake made with gluten free flour. So I take no responsibility for the odd taste. The frosting between the layers was something I had been wanting to try for a long time. It was a butter, Nutella, cocoa powder whipping cream and icing sugar combination that turned out really well I thought. Check on my Special Occasions link in the Galleries menu to take a look at it. My birthday cake was actually a dish of vanilla ice cream with a candle in it. Lisa, Monica and I had lunch on Tuesday and the restaurant brought Lisa and I each a dish of ice cream with a candle in it so we could make our birthday wishes and blow them out. The sang too. It was met the required level of embarrassing for both of us.
